Castrated in a cabin in the woods
The glorification of a clandestine trans surgical procedures in a forest shack
On Wednesday 29th June 2022, British newspaper The Independent published an article by Io Dodds entitled ‘‘Never ask permission’: How two trans women ran a legendary underground surgical clinic in a rural tractor barn”.
The story details how two trans-identified males ran a makeshift surgical theatre for trans procedures in a remote shack in Olympia, Washington, US. Dodds describes the shack as ‘a rustic-looking wooden house that has stood there for about a century, with an old tractor barn converted into a small outbuilding’.
He describes the barn as containing a ‘secret underground transgender surgical clinic run by two trans women with an autoclave and a cauterisation machine bought on eBay’ between 2004 and 2006. The article also states that the barn was inspected and approved by Washington state health officials.
The story begins when Eilis Ní Fhlannagáin, an Irish trans-identified male convinced his friend ‘Willow’ a doctor and fellow trans-identified male to perform surgery on him on a dining table. He claims that “rich girls got sent to gender clinics; I didn't get into a gender clinic”, ‘girls’ here being men of course.
Fhlannagáin rattles on about himself being involved in punk anarchism and ‘riot grrrl feminism’. The article then moves onto talk about the clandestine surgery, Willow set Fhlannagáin up on a recliner and then ‘removed her testicles’. The article then claims that trans-identified male genitals are different to men after years of wrong sex hormone treatment so the bandages almost didn’t fit.
The two men then began offering eunuch treatments to other men for $500 and let them shoot rifles in the garden.
Aside from the creepy admiration for two trans-identified males who performed castration for other men in a remote cabin in the woods, the article is a swan song of trans activism as part of the ‘Pride 2022’ series.
It was written by Io Dodds, a trans-identified male freelance reporter. He makes false equivalencies throughout the article such as claiming that gender critical activists are trying to remove healthcare for ‘trans youth’ and makes the absurd assertion that ‘abortion and trans healthcare are the same fight’.
Dodds is also very active on his Twitter page and is a vociferous activist for trans ‘affirmative healthcare’. He spends a decent amount of time moaning about waiting lists and whining about not receiving waiting list priority for unnecessary surgical procedures, speaking of which in this article it is easy to see an actual admiration for two men castrating other men in a dirty old rented shack.
It’s a shame that Dodds doesn’t seem to understand irony.
